Meeting called to order by Marty Milanowski, Chairperson. Pledge of Allegiance.

Review of minutes from January 14, 2025, regular meeting and January 21, 2025, caucus meeting.

A motion to accept the January 14, 2025, regular meeting and January 21, 2025 caucus meeting minutes was made by Kathy Johanik, Skip Radosevich seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Treasurer report – Carol Pufall, Town Treasurer, gave an overview of the town’s finances. Checking account is at $716,713.66. Money market account is at $26,469.93. Large tax payments being made to Bayfield County, Ashland School District, and Northwood Technical College. Last grader payment made.

Supervisor report – Skip Radosevich reported everything working good including the heat and nothing has froze. Replaced the carbon monoxide detector for the clerk as it was beeping and battery replacement did not work. Purchased a new one and installed.

Kathy Johanik reported the door at the garage has been fixed. The guys are getting equipment ready for next possible snowfall.

Clerk report – Election equipment testing was done. An error code on the Express Vote machine was found and clerk called the software company. Did a reboot as instructed and the error code cleared and we were able to finish the testing and everything now working as it should. Reminder of the upcoming election on February 18, 2025.

Old business – Stuart Mathias, Fire Chief, Ashland Fire Department gave an update on last year’s numbers including staff, total transfers/calls per township, trainings, budget, etc. Will need to discuss upcoming contract by the end of this year.

New business – None.
