Review of minutes from the June 13, 2023, regular meeting.
A motion to accept the June 13, 2023, minutes was made by Skip Radosevich. Kathy Johanik seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Treasurer report – Carol Pufall, Town Treasurer, gave an overview of the town’s finances. Checking account balance is $112,990.74. Money market account is $25,612.55. Covid recovery fund is at $27,754.02. The rest of the Covid recovery fund was utilized towards gravel invoices from South Shore Sand & Gravel per Marty’s request as there were no other projects needing funding, thus closing this account.
Supervisor report – Skip Radosevich noted the bathrooms in the town hall were finished except the extra light fixtures but felt the lighting as of now is sufficient enough. Also noted the stop sign at Hwy 137/State Farm Road was full of bullet holes and not clearly visible anymore, asking if we should contact the county to get it replaced.
Kathy Johanik reported all equipment is in pretty good condition. The grader is fixed. There was a blowout of an O-ring in the pump. Monday, July 24th the 1-ton is going to Ford to be serviced. If we get a bill from McCoy, we should check if it is under warranty, but will still need to pay for service call. Trying to keep someone cutting/mowing every day, as not even halfway done. Working on grading Hillside Rd in Moquah. Big trucks are traveling on it now and hauling. Requested to have someone look into septic tank. When it rains it fills up faster and needs to be pumped more frequently.
Old business – None.
New business – Bids for Terwilliger Road resurfacing were opened. One was received from Northwoods Paving: Hot mix $57,032, Base $5,205.00. Motion to accept this bid was made by Skip Radosevich, seconded by Kathy Johanik. Motion carried.
Public Input: Joe Mattson would like it to be noted it has been 4 months without an answer/response from our tax assessor to his questions. Marty stated he would contact her.
Approve checks and pay bills – motion made by Kathy Johanik, seconded by Skip Radosevich. Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn – motion made by Skip Radosevich, seconded by Kathy Johanik. Motion carried.
