Treasurer report – Carol Pufall, Town Treasurer, gave an overview of the town’s finances. Checking account is $131,472. 80. Money market account is $26, 798.17. The clerk software that was taken out twice instead of once last month is still being looked into getting fixed by the bank.
Supervisor report – Skip Radosevich reported everything is good with the buildings, heat is working and water not froze.
Kathy Johanik reported that on the one-ton the lights would go on and off, a power issue. Lights work on high beam sometimes and sometimes stay on high beam, so it needs work. The plow on the one-ton is low, small, made for quick plowing not so much commercial. Need a bigger plow. Randy is looking into that and Marty was getting some price quotes together. The Kelly truck hydraulic hose was leaking so Randy fixed that. The back brakes were leaking oil on the left side and need to be repaired. The Work Star can only go 20 miles per hour. Found that it needs a new clamp as it was getting too much air in. It’s now fixed and have extra clamps for future use too. Had it out and it works. Also found a tube was rusted and replaced that. Noticed some leaking, ordered parts and should be coming in this week but the truck is still being used. On the grader they got the wing put on and that helps cut the banks when there is a lot of snow.
Clerk report – A new computer (laptop) and printer have been purchased through Radio Shack. The printer was on order so they will contact me when it comes in. I will try to set up the new computer myself but Radio Shack did offer their assistance if we need it for an hourly fee. I am trying to get the year-end reports and everything caught up before attempting to switch over to the new system.
Old business – None.
New business – Rob Prater, superintendent for the Ashland School District and Mark Reimer, teacher, for the Ashland Middle School were both present in Amanda’s absence to address the tax implications that were voted on for the upcoming tax season and gave an update on the funds being used from the operational referendum that was passed in April 2025. They also addressed questions and concerns that were brought up by attendees regarding the recent survey that was sent out to the public seeking feedback on a proposed 4-day school week for the district.
