Old Business: None.
New Business:
Updates from Marty Milanowski, Chairman –
- Firefighter/EMS Contract Negotiations update – Had discussion with Barksdale for help
but they are paying $70,000 for service through Washburn, so it would not be feasible for
them to join Ashland with us for the cost and they are currently satisfied with their
service. Discussions with Ashland are still ongoing but still looking at possible 7-year
contract instead of 5 or 10 to offset cost structure.
- Road Conditions Update – Roads are in good condition. They will be starting
construction on Arganbright Road starting June 15 th . Also the overflow parking lot for the
Township will be being used as an alternative to the rideshare lot on Highway 2 by the
bridge construction as it will be temporarily closed.
- Room Tax – Ongoing discussions regarding where a portion of the money will be sent.
Set new date for August 2026 monthly meeting, as currently it falls on election day. New date
